We put the
weight overhead.

KBL Rigging supplies, installs and operates rigging for stage, screen and event. Truss, motors, lighting grids and certified crew — engineered to the load, delivered to the schedule.

Who we are

Rigging that holds up to scrutiny — and load.

KBL Rigging is a film and production rigging company built by riggers, for the people who run demanding builds. We design the system, supply the kit, and put experienced crew on the truss to install and operate it — from a single flown fixture to a full overhead grid.

Every job starts with the numbers. We calculate the loads, specify the right steel and motors, and document it so your production manager, venue and safety officer all sign off with confidence. Then we get in, rig it clean, and strike it on time.

We work across studios, stages, exhibition halls and outdoor sites — wherever something needs to hang safely above people and kit.

What we rig

Hire, design and full setup. Take the kit and crew, or hand us the whole build.

01

Overhead truss systems

Design, supply and install of aluminium truss for lighting, audio, LED and scenic loads — flat grids, box trusses, curved and bespoke geometry.

02

Motors & chain hoists

Electric chain hoist hire from single points to synchronised arrays, with controllers, bumper bars and full LOLER-inspected certification.

03

Lighting & LED grids

Flown lighting matrices, softbox arrays and LED walls rigged and balanced — including crane-assisted lifts for large panels and daylight sources.

04

Ground support & towers

Free-standing ground support, goalposts and towers where you can't fly from the roof — engineered for the venue and the load.

05

Rope access & working at height

IRATA-trained rigging crew for install, focus and de-rig in the roof, on set or over occupied space — harnessed, competent and insured.

06

Load calcs & documentation

Rigging plots, load schedules, method statements and risk assessments produced for sign-off by your venue, PM and safety team.

How it runs

From plot to strike

A straight line from your brief to a rig that's safe, on-budget and off the schedule's critical path.

01

Brief & survey

We take your plot and drawings, survey the venue, and confirm fixing points, access and load paths.

02

Design & calcs

We engineer the system, run the load calculations and produce the paperwork your team needs to sign off.

03

Get-in & install

Certified kit arrives with the crew to build it — rigged clean, tested and handed over ready to work.

04

Show & strike

We stand by through the run where needed, then de-rig safely and clear site to schedule.
